STARBUCKS AND A MACBOOK PRO

It's 9AM and I'm working. I'm having a meeting with my fellow new.media specialists. We're discussing some important things. The BOOST! Kidzone Church newsletter needs to be printed out. So I send an email with the contents of BOOST! I'm taking to Ysrael about the videos to be recorded back to DV tape. I'm discussing some things with Odette - the ministry head of new.media. I'm talking to my wife. And guess what.. I'm not even in the office. I'm in a Starbucks Coffee shop.

I'm having a virtual meeting via the internet. I'm using my wife's Macbook Pro. I turned the built-in I-Sight on so the people in the office and see me.

I just love technology and using it efficiently. There are no boundaries in using the technology available. What only limits us is our imagination and our thinking that we cannot do impossible things.

As it was said in the Bible...

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." - Matthew 19:26

Indeed, if God is with us, we can do impossible things with his divine help.

There have been times that people, even pastors, have told me that it is impossible. Not to brag but I don't really believe in the impossible until I fail to do everything to make it possible. With a huge heart and faith, we can do things for God even if it is impossible.

Who would have thought I would be talking to 56 million people in the world through the internet? Who would have thought that I'll be ministering beyond the four walls of the church? Would would have thought that I would be meeting with my new.media team even if we are not in one room? That, folks, was impossible a few years ago.

Today... ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

Until then, God bless.

I HAVE SWITCHED TO A MAC

It is OFFICIAL: We have switched to a mac. Although I still have my pc (which is on sale by the way), I see myself spending more time with the mac in the creative things I do.

And what's so cool about it is that the mac has iLife which will push our creativity to the next level. A built in movie editor, sound editor, DVD maker and such. I'll be tell you guys more about it soon. But right now, I'm actually typing this blog using the macbook Pro.

Sweet.

I WANT A MACBOOK!

I will not be ashamed to say this: "I WANT A MACBOOK."

I was able to borrow a friend's iBook and was impressed and amazed at the power, the battery life, the lightness and the stability of the Mac. Yes. I still love a PC but I have a soft spot for a mac.

Of course, as much as it has all these and more, it carries with it an expensive price tag. As a former Pre-sales agent, you have to pay for value.

For other people (especially techies), it is a dream come true. Saliva is running down the sides of the mouth. Foaming if ever. The Mac is probably one of the most sought after computers every techno person wants.

For some, it's a status symbol. For me, it's a machine that I know I can use extensively. If not, exploit it to its maximum.

I cannot explain to you how much work and ministry I can make using a mac. Imagine all the videos, presentation, podcasts and graphic projects I can make from this powerful apple product.

And it's expensive. As much as I would like to have one, I can't afford one.

But I'm still praying for it. I still believe in miracles. God does provided if it is His will for me to have a mac.

Does it have to be a Macbook or a Macbook Pro? The Macbook Pro is awesome for a power user like me (because I do media projects like videos, graphics and presentations). But who I am I to complain if someone gives me a Macbook. That's just my preference.

Am I being to goo-goo over the Mac. Well, I always have to check my heart often regarding the things I want. But let me tell you, as much as it sounds like I'm asking too much or that I sound like I'm materialistic (which I'm not), a Mac is a welcome edition to my personal and ministerial life.

The big question is: "Will I be able to get a Macbook or Macbook Pro?"

Help me pray for it. I'll let you know any developments.

God bless!
